Dutch National Ballet: Frida
The Dutch National Ballet: Frida will be performing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Saturday, July 15th, 2023. The ballet is based on the life of Frida Kahlo, and will be choreographed by Johan Inger. The music for the ballet will be written by Gustavo Santaolalla.
This will be a special performance for the Dutch National Ballet, as it will be their first time performing in the United States. The ballet company was founded in 1961 by Anton Dolin, and has been based in Amsterdam ever since. The company has a reputation for being one of the most innovative and forward-thinking ballet companies in the world.
