Dutch National Ballet: Frida
Danish National Ballet: Frida will be performing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Friday, July 14th, 2023. This will be their North American tour debut and will be a part of the annual International Music Festival.
The Dutch National Ballet is one of the most prominent ballet companies in the world. Founded in Amsterdam in 1879, the company has a long and illustrious history. It is currently led by artistic director Ted Brandsen.
The company will be performing Frida, a ballet by choreographer Johan Inger. The ballet is set to the music of Mexican composer Silvestre Revueltas and tells the story of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
