Los Angeles Opera presents La Traviata on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. La Traviata is one of the most popular operas of all time, and this production will be a fresh and exciting take on the classic story. Set in Paris in the mid-19th century, the opera tells the story of the tragic love affair between the courtesan Violetta and the young gentleman Alfredo. This production of La Traviata will be directed by Francesca Zambello, one of the world’s leading opera directors.
