Los Angeles Opera (LAO) is an American opera company in Los Angeles, California. It is the fourth-largest opera company in the United States. The company’s artistic director is Plácido Domingo.
LAO presents about six operas annually in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, as well as productions at the historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre and the UCLA Royce Hall.
The company’s current season includes a production of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Otello” at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, which will be performed on Sunday, November 13, 2022. The production will star tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko in the title role, soprano Krassimira Stoyanova as Desdemona, and baritone Luca Salsi as Iago.
